Dorigo Design
Fiorenzo Dorigo was born in Treviso, Italy in 1953 and started to study artistic design in 1975. While still a student Dorigo worked on design and image for companies in the furniture industry and started to play an active part at the Signomega studio since 1977. He worked with Bruno Maria Fracarossi in the “total design” experience for the “Seabuggy” project selected for the Golden Compass in 1979 and “Quartz”, the kitchen covered in tampered glass in 1982.
Dorigo is works as a freelance designer since 1987 and is a member of ADI and IIDD (Italian Institute for Design and Disability). With extensive experience in the fields of ecology, recreation and pedagogy, Dorigo designed systems and typologies in Europe, the US and the Far East for electrical appliances, home, office, public space, and cinema and theatre interiors.
In 2002 and 2003, Dorigo held applied design seminars at the Wood Industry Institute, which is a part of the Padova University. Dorigo designed indoor spaces for many companies. Fiorenzo Dorigo continues his work at his studio Dorigo, based in Conegliano Veneto.
