Material
Pila has the (TSE) Suitability to Turkish Standards certificate.
Up to 15% or recycled material is used in the manufacturing of Pila. The metal pieces used in its manufacturing are 100% recyclable and the wooden material used is reusable up to 100%.
The MDF material used in the manufacturing of Pila has the E1 Certificate and the fabrics used in its screen upholstery hold the OEKO-TEX 100 STANDARD and RECYCLABLE Certificates. The fabrics used for Pila’s screen upholstery have the OEKO-TEX 100 STANDARD and RECYCLABLE Certificates. The fabrics have passed the abrasion resistance (Martindale test), light fastness (EN ISO 105-B02), fastness to rubbing (EN ISO 105-X12) and tests that are in conformity with European norms.
Production
Pila is manufactured at Numaş A.Ş. facilities, which holds ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard and OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management System Standard certificates.
Waste Management
At Numaş A.Ş., the waste chemical materials like powder paint, wet paint, thinner, chemical material packaging, phosphate sludge, laser dust are sent to relevant companies for recycling or disposed of in a manner that will not harm the environment.
Transport
The materials used in Pila’s packaging are 100% recyclable. Pila’s packaging is minimal, to minimize energy consumption during transportation.
Use
The quality standards of Pila’s manufacturing and material, allow the product to have a long life. International bodies certify Pila’s high level of product security
End of Life
Pila is recyclable up to 97%. The materials used in the manufacturing of the product may be re-used or recycled at the end of its product life.
IF Product Design 2013
If Product Design Awards which is an awarding system that is evaluated by an international jury and which has been organized for over 50 years by the International Forum Design Hannover awarded Pila. Through the evaluation of almost 100 criteria, from ergonomics to durability, from safety to the material used, Pila won the award in office product category in 2013.
Designpreis Deutschland 2014 Nominee
Pila was awarded the DesignPreis Deutschland 2014 Nominee, organized by the 44th German Design Council after a fierce elimination between products that have received awards from international award systems. Among the thousands of products consisting of the brand new ones designed by multi-national companies, Pila received outstanding achievement in areas like ergonomics, functionality, ease of use, environment friendliness, and innovation.
